This policy distinguishes agency materials from client-owned, third-party, open-source, and licensed materials. It does not claim rights unsupported by contracts, registrations, assignments, or licenses.
Agency materials
Original website layout, text, visual systems, graphics, and other materials created and owned by M. Etienne Web Designs LLC may be protected by copyright, trademark, trade-dress, contract, or other law. This notice identifies only rights the business can substantiate.
Branding and logo artwork
The M. Etienne Web Designs name, approved lockup, monogram, and original branding are described consistently with actual ownership records. Registration symbols are not used unless the relevant registration exists.
Software source code
A public notice cannot override package licenses, contributor rights, client assignments, work-made-for-hire rules, or signed agreements.
- original agency code;
- client-specific code subject to signed ownership or license terms;
- open-source packages governed by their licenses;
- platform SDKs and provider examples; and
- third-party components used under commercial or other licenses.
Licensed and open-source assets
Fonts, icons, photographs, screenshots, libraries, store badges, and other assets may be used under open-source, stock, platform, client, or custom license terms. Maintain an asset and license inventory. Visitors must not be offered a sublicense broader than the business holds.
Portfolio material
Portfolio screenshots, marks, application icons, project descriptions, and linked content may incorporate client or third-party materials. Their display should be limited to approved portfolio and informational purposes supported by contract, written permission, public-source rights, or another documented basis.
Portfolio display does not imply that the agency owns the client's business name, logo, underlying content, application account, or all depicted materials.
Project deliverables and agency technology
Clients receive ownership of agreed, custom-created final deliverables after full payment, as specified in the signed agreement and subject to applicable legal exceptions.
M. Etienne Web Designs LLC retains pre-existing code, reusable components, templates, proprietary software, development tools, frameworks, reusable know-how, and other background technology. The client receives the licenses necessary to use retained agency components incorporated into completed deliverables.
Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their respective licenses. Portfolio use requires contractual permission and compliance with confidentiality obligations. Working files, rejected concepts, registrations, attribution, license scope, and non-transferable rights require express agreement terms.
Client-owned material
Clients retain ownership of material they supplied, subject to any third-party rights. M. Etienne Web Designs LLC does not claim ownership of client-supplied copy, data, images, marks, business materials, or other assets merely because they are used in a project. The client must have authority to provide and authorize use of those materials as addressed in the signed agreement.
Third-party marks
Apple, Google, Vercel, Wix, Supabase, Upstash, Resend, client names, product names, logos, and other marks belong to their respective owners where applicable. Reference should not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless documented.
Permitted use
Visitors may ordinarily view the website for personal or internal informational purposes. Any permission to reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publicly display, remove notices from, reverse engineer, or create derivative works should be stated narrowly and reviewed for legally protected exceptions.
Rights concerns
Copyright, trademark, privacy, or portfolio-authorization concerns may be reported to info@metiennewebdesigns.com with the affected URL, work or mark, claimant authority, requested action, and contact information. The business will verify requests, preserve appropriate records, investigate, and avoid promising removal before review.
This contact method is not presented as a formal statutory notice-and-takedown process or designated-agent filing system.
Project agreements and records
Signed project agreements control the transfer-after-full-payment structure, background-technology licenses, confidentiality, attribution, source files, registrations, and any moral-rights treatment for a specific engagement.
Client contracts, licenses, store-badge rules, image provenance, open-source notices, trademark status, and portfolio permissions should be retained as supporting records. Any unsupported claim should be corrected or removed.
